Well, let me share about the vacation I just had.
This trip that I had was by far the best of all trips that I'd been. Disneyland and Six Flags was uber awesome, Statue of Liberty was majestic and Trafalgar Square was just amazing. But New Zealand was better than the best. I might not have spent my money on sneakers and clothings but getting into a jet boat going against the rapids was just priceless. The people there aren't as snobbish as the french and if you're lost, they will help you to the best they could. But the slang is a little hard to catch up. My mum and brother had a hard time at the petrol station once, the guy asked them "It's that all" but because his slang was uber thick, my mum and bro had to beg his pardon twice before they get it. Haa! Good thing I work with a chef from New Zealand in Fullerton and I did manage to get use to their language. If you're planning a visit, do rent a car or a campervan will be great and drive around because that's the only way you could see more of New Zealand and it's worth the long drive! You won't get bored in the car but mesmerised but the beauty of mother nature. I had the experience to be on the road in between of Kawarau Gorge. It's priceless. The roads are very winding and take note, the signs on the road are always to be obeyed, the speed limit especially. My dad got fined for a hefty $120 for exceeding the speed by 17km/h when he was supposed to be on 60. It's very strict. And when there's a turn ahead, there's signs to show the degree of the turn, so you'll be able to gauge your speed for a safer drive. The season was summer, so it's the season of fruits! My mum gone crazy with nectarines and plums! She just had to stop by the farm and grab a bunch of them and munch them in the car. It's super sweet and fresh! The ice cream was even superb! They actually use real fruit and vanilla/yogurt ice cream to grind as soon as you make your order. And I had that alot during the trip, just awesome! Well, I'm very fortunate to pick Geography as my Humanities subject. And everything I seen there was like geography class comes alive. I saw how rivers meets the sea, gorges, valleys, volcanic areas and everything that been studied. I'm glad that this trip have been a fruitful and educational to each one of us. It's really a lifetime experience. Overall, I had a blast. I couldn't find any words to really describe how beautiful New Zealand is. Thanks to mum and dad, we got there. And for sure when I'm in the bunk before lights out, I gonna recall all the great things that happens there. AWESOME. |
