  Well, Syawal wasn't as mundane as I thought it would be. I felt the spirit and kick of the celebration as people came visiting over at my crib. This year nyayi's decide to celebrate Hari Raya over at my place so no doubt that we will be expecting a huge guest list arriving. And the great part is, we don't have to get out of the house and do any visiting unlike previous years! But, I know that I won't be getting much collection as those previous years since I'm 'old' to get any green packets, but hopefully I still do lah ey.. haha! Well, nicky got me all excited to just keep snapping photos, from last night preparing for syawal feast till the end of the day just now. Grandfather actually bought a whole lamb leg yesterday when I thought it will be too late to buy meat on the eve of Hari Raya. The meat was ubber fresh and beautiful! So I did the marination with infusing Malay, French and a little Italian spices to it, the aftermath was splendid eventhough I think the doneness was not what I expected it to be. The weather hasn't been kind today too. I kept melting the whole time and it's freaking uncomfortable. Even when I was doing the Aidilfitri prayers just now, I was perspiring like mad! I'm done with fever with just 2 days, flu's nearly gone but the throat still annoys me and I found out that some of my relatives are not in their best health too. Prolly because most of us are damn exhausted from the preparation of Syawal especially mum who worked so hard for the chores. So, I hope tomorrow gonna be as enlightening as today with guest pouring into my crib visiting instead! haa! and to everyone of you, I wish you Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri, Maaf Zahir dan Batin! |
