London in a Day.

Before we all head out, we say our goodbye to Sean because he's leaving to DC later in the afternoon. He's actually kak diyana boyfriend from US and it's been so much fun hanging out and talking to him. I felt that the weekend was long and finally after the wedding is over, all of us decide to hang out in central London.

The weather is great today with the sunshine, clearsky and cool air. So first, we stopped by Oxford Street to do a little shopping but all of us got carried away and we had like 5 huge paper bags after paying so we had to walk all the way back to my aunt's place before heading off to somewhere else.

London is very accessible by their bus and tube but compare to Singapore, we are much better. So anyway, we bused down to Harrods and everyone faces started to sparkles. Harrods is massive I must say, they have like a huge section for every thing and I think it's true from what I heard that, you can never cover every inch of Harrods within a day.
Stuff in there aren't cheap, most of the things are super branded! My aunt compare Harrods like Singapore Takashimaya but I think it's was out of the lead to be compared.

We bused down again to Piccadilly Circus which is somewhat like New York's Time Square of London. I just admire those classy architecture in that urban area, it's very interesting to turn every corner of the street. I was told that the best way to explore London is to walk and it's really true! Kak Wiyah was like our tour guide telling us interesting facts about London and one of the best part is, we crossed over River Thame on Princess Diana's Memorial Bridge towards London Eye.

The only person who took the ride was me, my sister and bro-in-law since most of them had taken it before. I was mesmerized by how good the view were, how the lights reflects againts the magnificent River Thame and especially the view of Big Ben! Since we took the night flight, thing's weren't that clear as we get to the top as it was dark, but I'm sure the view would have been breath taking if we were to take the ride during the day.

So after the ride, we walked back to Piccadilly Circus on the memorial bridge again to have halal hotdog which kak Wiyah and Serhat themselve claimed it's the best in that area. And when we got to the stall, we ordered one for each of us. The hotdog itself is massive and the length of it like 8 inch and it is to be eaten in a crispy and warm french loaf with ketchup and english mustard. My sister and me was shocked at how huge it was and indeed, it was awesome! It's probably the best Hotdog I had so far. (:

After that, my brother wanted to hang around and play games in the arcade. And all of us got hooked playing this '2 penny coin' game and kak Wiyah taught me the tactics of how to play it right. After spending like about an hour, we bused back home. I'm just love how the lights lighten every corner of the street, it's a wonder to watch.
